Cells Game (2017, working title) is a multi-directional shooter game that draws inspiration from microorganisms and cells. Players assume the role of small living organisms tasked with protecting the system by engaging in battles against invading germs. Development was halted thus the game remains unpublished.
NOTES
While working on the initial designs, I realised that the graphics appeared stiff and lacking natural elements prompting me to discard them and completely rework the visuals. The changes included introducing new shapes, organic textures, and incorporating guns that appeared embedded within the body rather than as external entities. the idle cell animation was designed to simulate a breathing-like motion, with its speed being linked to the cell’s health. As the health dropped, the animation would progressively accelerate, indicating the remaining percentage and intensifying the sense of tension.
